Happy Family!

Proud parents Jill Elaine Hughes and Albert W. Chung are pleased to announce the arrival of their firstborn son, Elliott Alexander Chung!

Elliott Alexander arrived in this world at 12:23 pm on Sunday, September 23, weighing 8 pounds, 4 ounces and measuring 19 inches long. He was a fashionable 3 days ahead of his projected due date, and showed up sporting a brand-spanking-new birthday suit and matching blue-gray eyes. Industry experts predict that Elliott will bring his parents' winning combination of theatrical/playwriting ability, creative writing, and sound fiscal policy analysis to the now-expanded Hughes-Chung Corporation.

I'm off to Babyland. . .

My blog will be going on maternity-leave hiatus starting today. Baby isn't due until September 26, but for some reason my mother's intuition is telling me that Junior will be early. Plus, I am getting pretty damn uncomfortable, what with having to carry a bowling ball around between my legs all the time. I also have a lot of rewrites to get finished up on two of my novels to satisfy the acquiring editors for those books; I want to get as much of that out of the way as possible before Junior's arrival (and subsequent sleep deprivation) turns my brain to Swiss cheese.

Sayonara, folks. See you in a few months. I'll have lots of updates to post about baby then, as well as information on the three books I have coming out in 2008.
